As part of an initiative by the Muslim Elders Council, a delegation of Egyptian qaris has traveled to Kazakhstan during the holy month of Ramadan. This visit aims to strengthen the friendly and Islamic ties between the two nations while facilitating the complete recitation of the Quran during this sacred period. The distinguished scholars will engage with congregations in the cities of Kokshetau, Stepnogorsk, and Oskemen.
Upon their arrival, the esteemed guests were welcomed by Darhan Kuandykuly, a member of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan and the Central Asia mentor for the Muslim Elders Council. He expressed deep gratitude to all individuals who contributed to this noble initiative.
This mission is part of the broader efforts of the Muslim Elders Council to promote peace, dialogue, tolerance, and mutual understanding worldwide through its religious caravan program. Organized under the leadership of Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, this initiative seeks to revitalize the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan nights and spread the true, balanced, and enlightening principles of Islam.
For the second consecutive year, the religious caravan has been dispatched to various countries. This year, more than 32 Quran reciters and preachers have been sent to nine nations, including Spain, Italy, Germany, Kazakhstan, Russia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, and the United States.
Additionally, for the first time, female preachers have been included in the mission, reflecting the Council’s commitment to recognizing the role of women in religious outreach. This initiative aims to strengthen connections with Muslim women, provide them with accurate religious guidance and values, and nurture a generation capable of promoting tolerance, mutual understanding, and peace.
This visit marks a significant step in fostering cooperation and solidarity among Muslims in Kazakhstan and beyond.
